Confused about the differences between HR 676 and what President Obama, NJ Citizen Action, Senator Baucus and Health Care for America Now Propose?
We have some helpful links for you.
See Sec. 102 of HR 676. It guarantees coverage for all medically necessary services one might need. A mixed public private health care system will not guarantee comprehensive coverage to everyone. There will be no co-payments, no deductibles and no coinsurance, and only the patient and his/her chosen health care professional will make decisions about treatment and care.
The HCAN proposal does not take the profit-making out of health care. See the comparison chart that Healthcare-NOW prepared.
The expanded public option and private insurance mixed proposals (HCAN) will not control costs. See the analysis that Physicians for a National Health Program prepared.
